Christina is an empathetic and dedicated Registered Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with adults, youth and children overcoming life’s challenges. She prides herself in providing a safe and non-judgmental space to allow clients to feel heard and understood regardless what they may be facing.
Therapy can be very intimidating for many but Christina strives to allow for everyone to feel welcomed and safe through the entirety of their journey. Everyone’s therapeutic journey is different and very unique to them, Christina uses client driven approaches to therapy to allow for everyone to feel seen and at ease through the process.
Christina, having obtained an Honours Bachelors of Indigenous Social Worker degree from Laurentian University, is a Registered Social Worker in excellent standing with the College of Registered Social Workers of Ontario. Through years of work and volunteer experience, Christina has worked with a diverse demographic, including young children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in substance use disorder, anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, anger, self-esteem, and relationship issues.
As an Indigenous social worker, Christina has a unique perspective and understanding when working with clients. Christina utilizes many modalities to support each client’s individual needs, encompassing a holistic healing approach, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Interventions techniques, and Narrative Therapy.
