Co-Parenting Counselling
Supporting parents in building calmer, cooperative relationships
Co-Parenting counselling helps separated or divorced parents communicate effectively and reduce conflict for well-being of their children.
Why It Matters
Children are remarkably perceptive and can sense tension between their parents. Without guidance, they may internalize feelings of confusion, guilt, or anxiety.
Children thrive when their parents can work together peacefully.
Co-parenting counselling helps you rebuild trust, manage emotions, and create a more predictable, supportive environment for your child, even when you live apart.

Frequently Asked Questions About Court-Approved Co-Parenting Therapy
Is Co-Parenting Counselling Suitable for High-Conflict Situations?
Absolutely. Our therapists are experienced in handling high-conflict scenarios and can provide strategies to reduce tension and improve communication, all in a safe and supportive environment. If the parents are taking the course together, they have to be able to be in the same room with each other and be productive. If there are restraining orders or history of domestic violence, it is better if the parents do not take the program together.
What if My Former Partner is Unwilling to Participate?
While joint participation is ideal, we can still work with you individually to develop coping strategies and communication skills that can positively influence the co-parenting relationship.
How do I Explain Counselling to My Children?
We can guide you on how to discuss counselling with your children in an age-appropriate and reassuring manner, emphasizing that it’s a positive step toward a happier family dynamic.
Is this Program Court-Approved?
Yes, it is court approved. At certain times the conflict between parents is so high and negatively effecting their children so much that a judge or child protection agency will order that the parents take this program. They will also get a certificate of completion to show the courts when they are done. Some people also want to proactively take the course to ensure that their separation is done correctly to minimize any impact on their kids.
