Neika pryce
RN & PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Neika brings empathy, and an easy-going communication style, with a unique sense of humor; making it easy for her to speak and relate to patients, and family members. She believes in a strong therapeutic relationship between therapist and client, which is the foundation needed to help build good rapport and creates a comfortable environment.
As a person of colour, Neika has lived experiences of being stigmatized and marginalized. This has helped her to empathize and relate to people of similar experiences. Such as other people of colour and various nationalities; individuals with mental health and addiction, and People of First Nations.
Although Neika is able to administer medications as a viable option, she has been very successful with the holistic approach of listening and educating clients to obtain optimal health.
She has enjoyed over 20 years of helping patients achieve their mental health goals. In her spare time, she loves spending it with her family; she also enjoys cooking, traveling, singing in the choir, and teaching Sunday school.
Neika has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University as well as certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse.
She has extensive hospital experience where she provided one-on-one counselling, facilitated groups, and was team leader.
